another weekend recap

yea so summer started and i've been out! recap of my weekend

friday - went to the mt. davidson rave park rave with miles and willie. hella fun for a long 40 mins with hella music. running downhill from the cops...was really hard. went back to west portal and kicked it with emma and christina. then home and i crashed hard.

saturday - this was one of the best saturdays i've had in a while. willie and i went rock climbing for bit in the morning. in and out after, then the island. kicked it with sarah jane for a bit and willie and i headed off back to the sunset to meet up with christina. we got side tracked 3 times since we saw peeps we knew on the way. after 2 hours we got to christina's and got a ride from jillian to tim's house. we were gonna go to his lil house party but we decided to stay downtown.

sunday - i always have chill sundays. got home from christina's around 1ish. took a shower and headed down to the panhandle. biked with kianu, james, and tim. later went to a parking lot and did some tricks.

40 miles of pure pain. dom just showed me this and one of my summer goals was to go on bike rides instead of that gay island trick session shit. just kidding, i love the island. anyways, dom told me he can shred half a rando off just doing this ride. he's completed only 3 times and partially many times and dom is a really good rider. anyone else up for this?

last day of classes!!!!

was today, so siked. this was the weirdest year of my life. basically summer started except i have finals next week. lame anyways today was fun. rode at the island with rich, who got big spins btw.

rich and i got our summer planned out with biking and shit all day, every day, all night long, whenever we want.

more bike updates: volume bikes

sorry to all my readers who aren't die hard bike fans. i'll post non bike stuff in the future, i promise! anyways, i checked the volume website today to find out that they are releasing to items i am really interested in.

first is the new krull spider sprocket for people who want to put bmx cranks on a fixed gear bike. i've always wanted to try to put bmx cranks on ever since i got into fgfs. the problem with doing this is, the sprokets. if it isn't splined, then eventually ur sproket will deform from getting loose with all those fakies and jumps you'll be doing. this is basically what terry has told me over and over again. the only other choice for splined, is the three sproket, which is basically sold out everywhere. whats so special about the volume one is the fact that it's a spider, which basically means you can change your chainring for your gearing without buying a whole new sproket. this is niffty thing will be $63.99 and coming to the public on June 1, 2009.


then there is the long awaited volume trick fork, the fu man chu. funky name. i have to say, it looks pretty sick and it will def give my cutter a lot more clearance for bar spins and such. they will be making the fork 1" and 1 1/8th" the only complaint i have is the price, which is $164.99, to be released on June 1st also -_-. several months ago, they promised that the fork will be under $175. ok it is under 175, but really...ten dollars less? what the hell do they think i am going to do with that ten dollars, buy a new tube...? that kinda upsets me, i was really hoping for a cheaper price. i would much rather get an identiti rebate park fork for $120 then. we'll see, ill probably end up getting it because of the lifetime warranty, volume promises. which, btw, once the gusset logo cracks, i will be sending into volume for a new, bigger, 3rd gen cutter!
also check out the new issue of fixed mag, here! it has some great stuff in there including, tom and tony's trip to europe with their bikes. very interesting adventure and i really want to do that some day. rich, john, anyone up for it in the future? i'll be in europe (yay!), though this summer with one of my besties, christina! we'll be in london and oxyford for a summer program. i still am in the process of trying to convince the parental units to let me stay longer with christina to adventure in europe...

ugh activity schedules is just killing me. today was a slow and boring day and im pretty sure i've lost a good friend recently...whatever their choice. at least tomrrow is the last day of classes, then finals week, and then a summer filled with hella biking, music concerts, hopefully a trip to new york for the bike film festival, and my eurotrip!

another sick bareknuckle build again. rich basically killed his concept, theres a stress crack going along the down tube. yupp this is the one that has been at boxdog forever. he deserves this bike, rich is the only kid in the city that i know who rips it hard on his bike for our age.

look at that wound up fork, its for all those 180s, 3 taps, and big spins hes gonna get. its made out of the strongest material ever, and not even a bb will break it.

ugh all 7 classes for three straight days...more brutal than a full week of school but at least i can look forward to summer more. nothing new to update today so i'll post some kinda old, but new things that i forgot to put on my blog.

then there's carl's new bike. a proto mke in small which is basically slightly bigger than the medium production. not the final parts. according to carl, its a wheelie machine and lifts off the ground easy. little bastard...i thought he wasn't gonna like it so he could sell it to me! =( haha

but then again...i'd rather have wonka's bike...

weekend recap

i've been to lazy to post lately. especially since it was probably the nicest weekend ever with the sun. it's the beginning of summer weather! i probably won't be posting a lot during summer since i will be on my bike, not in the city, or just outside. we'll see things may change.

friday- melissa's birthday was on friday! went out to lunch with melissa, christina, alex, casey, claire, emma, and molly. hit up the island with chris, rich, and lunchbox. went to melissa's little park party in glen park before it got shut down by the 5-0. theres suppose to be another park rave at glen park. might get shut down way sooner since the cops are starting to bust shit like this

saturday- i hung out with most fabulous person in the world, zoey in san rafel, then i went down to the island to hang out with rich, john, christina, and kaitlyn.

sunday- was a chill fucking day. slept until 12, did some hmwrk, went down the a parking lot to ride bikes with kianu and james. on my way there i saw all the people at bay to breakers. so many drunk, half naked, drugged out people bunched up in ggp and the panhandle. later we went to the hill and chilled there. went to get pizza at northbeach pizza and practiced at the stanyan square.
